As we go about our daily lives we encounter places, products and services that are outstanding, bring value and enhance our experiences. These have become our favorites and we want to share them with you. Rest assured that we’re not posting any products unless we feel they can benefit you. Part of our spending philosophy is that what we buy, needs to bring value to our quality of life and that we don’t go spending the money we don’t have.
Cafe One Eight
Such a cozy cafe right around the corner from the big Farmer’s Market in downtown Lancaster. Had two soy cappuccinos, which were yum, and two egg dishes: one was a veggie and hummus egg wrap, and another an egg and veggie stack on top of hash brown potatoes. We ask them to remove the meat and cheese since we don’t eat those, and it was still very flavorful. It was Mr. Emchumbao’s birthday brunch, and the lady at the register surprised him with a complementary brownie and a candle at the end of our meal. Very nice place for a great brunch or lunch!
John J. Jeffries
I took Mr. Enchumbao here for his birthday dinner (yes, he is totally spoiled with multiple birthday treats). 🙂 They are a farm-to-table restaurant, so they are famous for fresh meat options. We only eat fish, however, but there was mahi-mahi on the menu and several vegetarian options. Salad was very crispy and fresh. My favorite were the grits with veggies. I almost ordered another one! They offered us complimentary champagne or dessert since it was Mr. Enchumbao’s special day which was a nice touch. Server, Sergio, was very friendly and attentive. Overall, strongly recommended. Easy covered garage parking right outside – and free!
