Great health is one of the key ingredients to enjoying financial independence and early retirement. We have been slowly, but surely, switching to safer non-toxic products after learning about the disturbing chemicals allowed in most personal care items. It takes a lot of research to find the products of good quality. We’ve already spent a good amount of time doing the research and want to share with you, so that you could benefit as well.

For full disclosure, we get a small commission from Amazon if you buy from the links. This doesn’t affect your cost. Rest assured, we will never recommend a product that we don’t use or believe in.

Our goal is for all of us to live healthier lifestyles. We also  want to promote the companies that are providing better products and the best way to encourage production of better American products is by voting with our dollars. Here are the great products that we recommend.

Cheers to your health!

Love, Mrs. Enchumbao

Biokleen Automatic Dish Soap Powder

After trying numerous natural brands for our dishwasher and being disappointed, we finally found one that works well. The dishes come out clean, without stains or residue. We don’t use a drying/rinse agent at all, so they aren’t 100% dry, but we don’t mind wiping down the few dishes that need it, usually the glasses and mugs. Pro tip: to maximize the drying power, tilt your drink ware at an angle that allows water to run down the glass. Otherwise, if you may have a little well of water at the bottom of cups and glasses that have a concave design.

Attitude Baby Bottle and Dishwashing Liquid

We use this brand for the dishes we wash by hand. It works well and doesn’t have a strong smell. You have to add soap to the sponge more often than with toxic brands, but it’s worth it. Sounds like a L’Oreal campaign, doesn’t it? “Because you are worth it.” Except, ironically, L’Oreal’s ingredients are awful, so use the slogan to live by, but not their products. 🙂
